Sarah Smith

Sarah – Co Director 

Sarah began her career working with circus big tops as part of the renowned NoFit State Circus. In her twenties, she earned the title of Tent Mistress, managing one of the big tops with expertise and flair.

With years of experience across the events industry, Sarah has taken on roles ranging from rigger and décor lead to site manager, stage manager, and venue manager. Her work spans everything from local council celebrations to large-scale productions at major festivals like Glastonbury, as well as high-end corporate events.

Sarah holds a Master’s degree in Arts Management from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and brings a blend of creative vision and operational know-how to every project.

Paul Barnett

Paul is a proud New Zealander, hence the name Kiwi Tents. He spent many years
constructing marquees and managing large teams.
He has work extensively in events including working among other aggrok installing
site electrics. He has also worked in film and television industry constructing sets
and props for productions such as Dr Who and Hollywood films.

Growing up on a dairy farm in New Zealand he grew up in a practical ‘can do’
environment. He also runs his successful business Kiwi handy man
A handy person to have at any event.

Paul’s knowledge of stretch tents came from time spent in South Africa – the place
they were invented. Visiting an old friend there, and having a tour of the factory
where our tents are made, only piqued his interest even more.
Paul became inspired by stretch tents through visiting an old friend from his marquee
time in South Africa who runs Stretch Inc
